I like to peek around at the various Kickstarters going around the art and writing communities.  But I'm usually able to resist and stick to my strict poor-artist-and-working-mother budget.

But this book. This one, I WANT. Desperately.  So I pledged my $25 to get a copy of "The Song of the Summer King" by Jess Owen <3

And I want to spread the word and help get this book to print, so I can get ahold of the goodies that come with my pledge *x*  She's over halfway there with 23 days left to go.

About the Novel
The novel features Gryfons and Wolves, with the main character a young male Gryfon. The novel opens with him entering into a hunt to prove his worth to the Gryfon King... something vital to his inclusion in the pride, for he is one of the last-born of the conquered local race.  I've read the first three chapters (which are available online), and I'm hooked.

But that's not all.  The cover is printed, edge to edge, front to back, with a beautiful painting by Nambroth.  One of my favorite fantasy artists of all time.  And if that isn't sweet enough?  Tanathe and Akreon, the team behind the comic Off-White, has made a side-comic that comes as an e-bonus to backers.
