I Will Fly Unbroken WIP

The first stage (plus some) of a Photomanipulation/Digital Painting I’m working on.

This is around the 6 hour mark, with elements combined and contrast-adjusted, plus the initial painting stage. I’ll be making some corrections to the figure and lighting, then adding additional painted elements, like marks and color adjustments.

After saving this stage I noticed that the musculature where the wings connect to the body got painted over when I widened the wolf’s shoulders. It was a very thin wolf and the one I want for the picture is more muscular and has a lot longer fur. I’ll be seeing what I can do to adjust that since now there’s a visual disconnect that leaves the wings a little “out of place” that wasn’t so before I started the painting stage. The elements also need a little bit more attention to make the lighting and contrast more cohesive.

Aside from the above, I welcome input and constructive critique. It’s been quite a while since I did a manip.

The finished artwork is going to be based off of a character of mine.
